Fishing Bay Marina is a day’s run midway between Solomons, MD and Norfolk, VA. in Deltaville, located at the mouth of the Rappahannock River in the middle Chesapeake Bay. The Marina is located on Fishing Bay, which is just south of the Rappahannock River, off the Piankatank River. It is nicely sheltered by Stove Point Neck.
Follow the channel into the Piankatank River and make sure you leave R’8′ and R’8A’ to starboard. Then head west leaving Stove Point and R “10” and R “10A” to starboard and head north into Fishing Bay. There is 16 feet of water in the entrance channel and 15 feet at the docks at MLW. The tidal range is 3 feet.
The marina, located on the western side of the protected basin, has stationary open and covered slips that can accommodate vessels to 200′. Look for the long fuel dock at the opening of the marina.

The marina staff monitors VHF channel 16.

By Land— Driving Directions
From Richmond: Take I-64E to Rt 33E, exit 220. Follow Rt 33E to Rt 17N, bear right back onto Rt 33E, though Saluda. Turn right at light. Follow Rt 33E towards Deltaville. Turn right at the 7-11/Exxon onto Rt 1102, Fishing Bay Rd. Follow for 1/2mi, turn right onto Rt 1104, Deagle’s Rd. Marina Entrance 1/2 mi on left.
From Norfolk/VA Beach: Take I-64W to Rt 17N. Bear right onto Rt 33E, through Saluda. Turn right at light. Follow Rt 33E towards Deltaville. Turn right at the 7-11/Exxon onto Rt 1102, Fishing Bay Rd. Follow for 1/2mi, turn right onto Rt 1104, Deagle’s Rd. Marina Entrance 1/2 mi on left.
